Mid-week check in! How are you doing with working toward your goal this week? If you’ve fallen off the wagon, don’t give up. Just recommit to work towards your goal and start right where you left off. Don’t worry about catching up to your original schedule. Flexibility is key here. Today I have some tips to change your workspace, making it more enticing as an added motivation to get to work so that you can stick to the steps you’ve outlined on Day One.
Motivate Yourself
Here are a few of my favorite ways to keep your workspace exciting:
- Enjoy your favorite drink or snack while working on this project.
- Hang your favorite quote on the wall above your desk.
- Add a plant on or near your workspace.
- Put your favorite energizing or creativity-boosting blends in the diffuser. (Scroll down to find out my go-to blends for this)
- Open the curtains and let the sunshine in!
Mix Things Up to Encourage Creativity
- Always work in your home office? Try working on your patio outside, at a nearby coffeeshop, or even at your local library.
- Always work alone? Try meeting with a friend to bounce ideas off of.
- Are you used to working in silence? Put on some instrumental music in the background (or vice versa if you’re used to music).
- Take a walk outside or go to the gym before getting started on your work. Make voice memos of any ideas or solutions to problems that come to mind while you are physically active.
- Normally type on a computer? Write in a notebook.
Anytime you can get yourself out of your normal routine, you are more likely to come up with a new idea or a solution to a problem.
Put a New Blend in Your Diffuser
Try a combination of essential oils that you haven’t tried before to change the atmosphere. These are my favorites for creativity and getting things done:
Abundant Creativity
*2 drops Envision
*2 drops Clarity
Get It Done
*3 drops Clarity
*1 drop Peppermint
