Many people struggle with some form of respiratory system irritation during the winter months, whether it’s a nagging cough, sore throat or runny nose. Most of us reach for an over the counter chest rub to soothe this irritation, but many are filled with harmful, synthetic ingredients. This homemade chest rub is made with all natural ingredients, smells great and works well!
Ingredients:
3 – 4 TBSP Coconut Oil (depending on the size of your jar)
3 drops each of Raven, Thieves, and Frankincense essential oils
Small glass jar
Directions:
Start by warming up the coconut oil in a pot on low heat on the stove just enough to soften the oil. Next, remove from the heat, pour into your small glass jar, add essential oils, and mix well. Allow the mixture to harden in the fridge. To use, rub a small amount onto the chest, especially before bed.
Want to Take This to the Next Level?
Add a vinyl label to your glass jar with a Circut or a Cameo machine. (Don’t have one? Search vinyl labels on Etsy to find one to order). Want to turn this into a gift? Combine in a gift basket with comfy socks and a heat-able rice pack or heating pad to make the perfect “Get well soon” gift.
PS This combo (Raven, Thieves, and Frankincense) make a wonderful diffuser blend too! Add 2 drops of each to the water in your diffuser and enjoy!
